On 9 August 2022, California Senate candidate Dan O’Dowd launched his campaign with an unorthodox political campaign against Tesla's cars, equipped with a self-driving capability in Beta version. His "Dawn Project" aired ads with a test where a Tesla 3 hit a child-sized dummy.

Two days later, Tesla responded with a Cease and Desist letter asking to stop disseminating what they say is a defamatory campaign against the company.

In his next move, a tweet of O'Dowd challenged Tesla founder Elon Musk for a public repeat test, although the test could happen whether Musk accepts it or not. His project site published the challenge in writing: "Elon, this is for all the marbles. It’s time to bet your product, your technology, your reputation, your credibility, your engineering prowess against mine."

On social media, there is an intense debate whether the test result is fake which misuses and misrepresents the capabilities of Tesla’s technology. Now talk is cheap, that's a point for O'Dowd.

So show some courage and do a bet yourself. You don't need to be a billionaire, you can bet your reputation on the outcome of the test here on Prediki for free. (Sponsors for a prize are welcome.)
